WHY THESE
Value that's earned, not bargain-bin
Every cottage on Pure Cornwall is personally vetted before it earns a place. This collection simply gathers the ones that work out cheapest per person, per night — the bottom third of our whole portfolio by that measure. No different in standard; just kinder on the wallet.
You’ll find these special stays dotted right across Cornwall, from characterful inland locations such as Launceston, Bodmin and Camelford to charming pockets like Looe and Lostwithiel. While coastal hotspots will always have their appeal, some of the best value can often be found slightly inland or around Cornwall’s working harbour towns, where you can enjoy more space, more privacy and those extra little luxuries without compromising on location.
Cornwall is wonderfully easy to explore, too — it isn’t a huge county, so even if you choose a peaceful countryside retreat, you’re rarely far from a beach, harbour, foodie favourite or family day out. A stay near Bodmin puts you within reach of both coasts, Camelford is perfectly placed for wild moorland walks and dramatic north coast scenery, while Launceston offers easy access to countryside, heritage and the Tamar Valley. Further south, Looe brings classic harbour charm, and Lostwithiel offers a slower, more tucked-away feel with easy access to some of Cornwall’s best-loved spots — with plenty left over for the pasties, paddleboards and cream teas that make a holiday here complete.
Because we measure value per head, a big farmhouse for ten can land here as easily as a bolthole for two — sometimes more easily. Travelling as a group, and stepping outside the peak weeks, is the surest way to bring the nightly cost right down.
What you won’t find is anything we wouldn’t book ourselves. Great value, to us, means a good cottage at a fair price — never a tired one at a tempting one.

Questions
The things people ask before they book
-
We work out each cottage's price per person, per night, then gather the cheapest third of our whole collection. It's a relative measure, recalculated regularly, so the list always reflects genuinely good value rather than an arbitrary price cap.
-
No. Every cottage here is held to exactly the same standard as the rest of the site and is personally vetted before listing. These simply happen to cost less per head — often because they sleep more people, or sit a little inland.
-
Travel as a group and travel outside the peak July–August weeks. Because we measure cost per person, filling a larger house off-peak will almost always give you the lowest nightly price.
-
It tends to cluster slightly inland and around the harbour towns — Looe, Penzance, Mousehole, Lostwithiel and Marazion all feature heavily — though there are well-priced cottages on every stretch of coast.
-
Cornish cottages are let by the week. The "from" price is the lowest weekly rate across the year; your final price depends on your dates and the size of your party.
