Cookie Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Pure Cornwall (a trading name of Cornish Secrets Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. “Similar technologies” include local storage in your browser. They help a website work, remember your choices, and (where you allow it) measure how the site is used.
2. Your choices & consent
When you first visit, we ask for your consent via our cookie banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are set by default. Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Your preference is remembered in the pc_cookie_consent cookie for one year.
3. Categories of cookie we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are essential for the website and its core features to work. They do not track you for advertising.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pc_cookie_consent |
Remembers your cookie preferences | 1 year |
pc_oracle_session |

Functional (stored on your device)
We use your browser’s local storage to remember helpful things on your device. These stay on your device until you clear them and are not sent to advertisers.
| Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
pc_oracle_html_v2, pc_oracle_token_v2 |
Restores your Oracle chat where you left off |

Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used so we can improve it. These load with Google Consent Mode, meaning nothing analytical runs until you opt in. If you do not accept, these are not set.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<id> |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes anonymous visitors and measures usage | Up to 2 years |
Third‑party cookies (set by services we embed)
Some pages include tools provided by third parties, which may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- SuperControl — the live availability and booking calendar shown on managed‑letting property pages.
- Mapbox — the interactive maps used to show property locations.
- Affiliate partner sites — if you click through to book an affiliate property, that website sets its own cookies under its own policy.
4. How to manage cookies in your browser
As well as our cookie settings, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set — see your browser’s help pages. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working properly.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
