Away from the sea and surf, the Bude Canal and River Neet offers a slower pace, winding peacefully through the town and out into the surrounding countryside. It’s a fantastic spot for walking, cycling, or simply soaking up the thriving wildlife, while the nearby South West Coast Path delivers breathtaking cliff-top walks with far-reaching sea views.

Food is a real highlight here, with plenty of standout spots to enjoy. Life’s a Beach pairs stunning sea views with great dining, Electric Bakery is a must for artisan treats, Saturday specials and coffee, and no visit is complete without classic fish and chips – we love a takeaway from The Mermaid in town.
