Perranuthnoe

Perranuthnoe is a charming south coast village overlooking Mount’s Bay, with views towards St Michael’s Mount and the wider sweep of west Cornwall. It is smaller and calmer than nearby Marazion, making it a lovely choice for visitors who want a relaxed coastal stop with village character.

The beach is one of its best features. At low tide, a sandy stretch opens beneath the cliffs, with rock pools, gentle paddling spots and views across the bay. It is popular with families, swimmers and walkers, though access is via a slope and the beach can shrink significantly at high tide, so checking tide times is worthwhile.

Food and drink are part of Perranuthnoe’s appeal. The Victoria Inn is a well-loved village pub serving seasonal food in a traditional setting, while The Peppercorn Café is a great choice for coffee, cake, brunch or lunch after a beach walk. There are also small galleries and craft spaces nearby, adding to the village’s creative feel.

For walking, follow the South West Coast Path towards Marazion for views of St Michael’s Mount, or head west towards Prussia Cove for a quieter, more rugged route with coves, cliffs and open sea views.
