Why Sennen
Sennen is a relaxed far-west Cornwall village, best known for its beautiful beach, big Atlantic views and easy access to Land’s End. It has a wilder, more open feel than many Cornish seaside spots, making it ideal for surfers, walkers and visitors who love dramatic coastal scenery.
Sennen Cove is the main attraction. Its broad sandy beach is great for surfing, bodyboarding, swimming and family beach days, with plenty of space at low tide and a classic seaside feel around the cove. The sea can be powerful, so it is always best to follow lifeguard guidance when cover is in place.
Food and drink options include cafés, pubs and beachside stops, with The Old Success Inn a popular choice for a meal or drink overlooking the cove. There are also casual options for ice cream, coffee, pasties and fish and chips after time on the sand.
Walking is superb here. Follow the coast path towards Land’s End for iconic clifftop views, or head north towards Gwynver and Cape Cornwall for a quieter, wilder route. Sennen is best enjoyed with time to slow down: surf, walk, eat by the sea, then stay for sunset over the Atlantic.
