About

Hillside is a beautifully renovated, generously proportioned Victorian townhouse sleeping six guests (or up to eight with the sofa bed), offering a rare mix of space, style and standout extras right in the heart of St Ives. High ceilings, elegant proportions and thoughtful design touches run throughout, while the true showstoppers are the outdoor space and the private parking – both genuine luxuries for a central townhouse.

Inside, the house is arranged for easy group living, with three double bedrooms and four bathrooms. Each bedroom enjoys the privacy of its own en-suite, complemented by an additional family shower room – perfect for sandy returns and keeping morning routines running smoothly. You’ll also find two separate living areas, giving everyone room to spread out, whether you’re travelling with children, friends or extended family.

Step through the double entrance into a bright, welcoming hallway, where polished monochrome marble tiles set a smart, contemporary tone. The hallway draws you through to the garden room at the rear – a relaxed snug with a sofa and TV, ideal for film nights, a quiet reading retreat, or a den for younger guests while the grown-ups unwind elsewhere. Next door, a sleek family shower room with a glass-framed walk-in shower adds extra practicality and convenience.

Also on the ground floor are two inviting double bedrooms. Bedroom One is a spacious room with a large bay window and its own en-suite shower room. Bedroom Two offers a calm, restful feel with garden views and is a lovely place to settle in after busy days exploring.

Upstairs, the first floor forms the sociable heart of the home: a loft-style, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with dual-aspect windows that fill the room with natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-spec Siemens appliances, including an electric hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher, making it easy to cater for your group. The dining area seats six to eight comfortably, and the lounge space invites you to linger – whether that’s a family movie on the large TV or a classic board game around the table.

One of Hillside’s most memorable features is revealed back on the landing: a “secret” spiral staircase leading to the top-floor bedroom tucked into the eaves. This cosy double feels wonderfully private, with its own en-suite bathroom and heated towel rail – perfect for a long, peaceful soak. Best of all, it opens onto a glass-fronted balcony, an exceptional spot for morning coffee or sunset drinks.

Outside, the large enclosed garden is a rare treat for a home this central. With two decked areas – one close to the house and another at the far end – it’s ideal for BBQs, al fresco dinners and long summer evenings under the stars. And to complete the package, Hillside includes a private parking space in a secure, gated car park just across the road – an invaluable bonus in St Ives.

Beautiful property

Loved the views from the top bedroom, made use of the barbecue and fairy lights in the garden even though it was the end of October. The house was beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. Very handy for local shops, walks and beaches. Highly recommended!
